Dear Marine Technology Professionals,
The integration of deep-sea mining and renewable energy stands at a critical juncture of opportunity. Its development not only matters for the efficient exploration and utilization of marine resources but also carries profound strategic significance for global energy transition, marine ecological protection, and the sustainable growth of the marine economy.
Against this backdrop, I am honored to announce that The 2nd Deep-Sea Mining and Ocean Renewable Energy Integration Development Conference will kick off grandly in Shanghai on October 23, 2025. Co-located and concurrent with the highly anticipated " Oceanology Asia 2025," it will serve as a landmark event for in-depth exchanges and intellectual collision across the industry.
Hosted jointly by Marine Technology lnnovation Center - Yangtze Delta, Yangtze River Delta Offshore Wind Power Intelligent Operation andMaintenance lnnovation Alliance, Jiangsu Marine Technology lnnovation Center, Marine Resource Development TechnologyInnovation Research Institute at Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, this forum aims to build a professional, international communication platform to drive innovative development in the integrated field of deep-sea mining and new energy.
Looking back at the inaugural Conference, we successfully focused on the core strategic areas of the industry, attracting widespread attention and active participation from numerous professionals, and laying a solid foundation for sectoral progress. Building on this success, the 2nd Conference will further expand and deepen its scope. We are set to gather experts and professors from leading central and state-owned enterprises, renowned developers, top universities, authoritative research institutes, and international classification societies—spanning both Deep-Sea Mining and Ocean Renewable Energy sectors. From diverse perspectives, they will share cutting-edge research outcomes, explore paths for technological innovation, analyze industrial development trends, and offer fresh insights and directional guidance for the industry.
