The instrument features a built-in rechargeable battery, which supports over 16 hours of continuous operation on a single charge. It operates at 12V DC with a power consumption of less than 3W.

The Online Algae Analyzer is a highly sensitive algal classification and detection device designed for real-time quantitative analysis of algal biomass (chlorophyll-a) and qualitative/quantitative analysis of various algal phyla in water. It can be powered by 220V AC or alternatively by a 24V DC power source for field or solar platform applications. It is suitable for fixed station monitoring, field micro-station monitoring, buoy-based monitoring, and moving vessel-based monitoring.
