The 2025 Zhuhai international Smart Marine Expo will be held with great fanfare at the Zhuhai international Airshow Centre from 24th to 26th April 2025.
With a focus on the new mission and tasks of marine economic development, and under the theme of "Sci-Tech Innovation for a Smarter Ocean", the 2025 Zhuhai international Smart Marine Expo will comprise three main sections exhibitions, conferences, and associated activities. The Expo aims to establish an international marine exchange platform that fosters open cooperation and mutual benefit. lt aspires to be a comprehensive exhibition showcasing the unique characteristics of the ocean theme, integrating upstream and downstream industry chains, intelligent technology applications, and industry-academia collaboration. This platform is designed to enhance the overall strength of the marine economy, stimulate innovation, and promote sustainable development. it will inject fresh momentum into strengthening the marine economy comprehensively, revitalising the blue economy, and accelerating the development of the marine industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
This year's exhibition is expected to attract over 200 enterprises specialising in marine intelligent and unmanned equipment, ocean renewables, intelligent ships, marine anti-corrosion and new materials, marine ranching and deep-sea aquaculture equipment, yachts, island development, and tourism. The planned exhibition area is 30,000 square metres.

Zhuhai Tanhai Marine Technology Co., Ltd. was established in May 2020. It is a professional company focusing on the marine sector, with ships as its core assets, specializing in marine scientific research and engineering services, marine geological survey, and the operation and management of research vessels. The company owns and manages several ships, including "Tanhai 9", "Lianghai 101", "Haisilu 6", and "Haisilu 8".
On August 25, 2022, Tanhai officially became a subsidiary of CIMC Offshore Wind New Energy, gaining access to the state-owned enterprise platform of CIMC Group. -"Tanhai 9" Vessel
The "Tanhai 9" is a 1,500-ton scientific research vessel with a speed of up to 12 knots. It is equipped with an advanced DP system, a four-anchor positioning system, a 12/18T stern A-frame, a 500m CTD winch and davit, a hydraulic knuckle boom crane, a 6,000m geological/fiber optic winch, and a 2.5m x 2.5m moonpool with a drilling tower. The vessel is capable of drilling and cone penetration testing operations in water depths ranging from 0 to 150 meters.
The stern of the vessel features a large deck area with multiple spaces and interfaces reserved for offshore operations. It is equipped with dry and wet laboratories, a conference room, and a dining hall. The "Tanhai 9" can undertake marine engineering geophysical surveys, engineering geological drilling, hydrological and geological survey sampling, wind farm project investigations, and oilfield well location surveys, among other tasks.
-"Haisilu 6" Vessel
The "Haisilu 6" is a 500-ton scientific research vessel with a speed of up to 11 knots. The stern is equipped with an A-frame, a 500m CTD winch and davit, a hydraulic folding crane, and a 2,000m geological winch. The vessel boasts a large working deck area.
The "Haisilu 6" is capable of conducting comprehensive scientific expeditions on offshore resources, environment, and ecology, emergency investigations and assessments of marine disasters (such as oil spills and red tides), and acquiring basic data on coastal zone and offshore hydrology, geology, biology, chemistry, and meteorology. It also collaborates with land-based observation platforms for land-sea data collection, transmission, and integration, providing a safe and convenient research platform for domestic marine research institutions.
-"Haisilu 8" Vessel
The "Haisilu 8" is a 300-ton scientific research vessel with a speed of up to 10 knots. It is equipped with various professional equipment such as an A-frame, telescopic crane, winch, and a series of supporting equipment including samplers and acoustic instrument mounts.
The "Haisilu 8" specializes in comprehensive scientific expedition operations in the fields of coastal zone resources, environment, geology, and ecology. It collects basic data on coastal hydrology, geology, biology, chemistry, and meteorology, providing important support for marine scientific research.
