Focusing on the forefront trends and innovative practices in marine digital intelligence, the Smart Ocean Engineering Technology Innovation Conference was successfully held concurrently with the Oceanology Asia 2024 International Marine Science and Technology Equipment Exhibition (referred to as "OA 2024"). This conference brought together industry experts to discuss new connotations, forms, technologies, and applications in the development of marine digital intelligence, facilitating the transformation and upgrading of smart marine engineering and contributing to the sustainable development of the marine economy.
On September 25-26, the Smart Ocean Engineering Technology Innovation Conference, organized by CNOOC Engineering in collaboration with Tsinghua University's Shenzhen International Graduate School, the China Ocean Engineering Research Institute (Qingdao), and the Smart Ocean Engineering Joint Research Institute, was held at the Shanghai International Procurement Exhibition Center. Over 500 participants, including professionals from national higher education institutions, research institutes, and the marine engineering sector, attended the conference. Wang Huifeng, Vice President and Chief Engineer of CNOOC Engineering, and Xiang Changsheng, Deputy Dean of Tsinghua University's Ocean Engineering Research Institute, were present and delivered speeches at the event.
The conference brought together renowned institutions such as Tsinghua University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dalian University of Technology, and South China University of Technology, along with leading enterprises and organizations in the marine technology sector, including CNOOC Engineering, China Classification Society, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and Nexperia Asia Pacific. The event featured three sessions of presentations, where over twenty distinguished experts and scholars engaged in discussions on the intelligent development of marine engineering, generating numerous new insights and proposals.
